Vegetarian Calzone

For the dough, you can find our recipe here

Select the pizza sauce that you want to use… Pizza Sauce Recipes, for this calzone, we recommend using the Homemade Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 courgette
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 150g mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  1. Make the calzone pizza dough and sauce
  2. Spread the sauce over the dough circle leaving a 2cm gap around the edge
  3. Thinly slice the courgette and clove of garlic
  4. Hard boil the egg
  5. Roughly cut up the mozzarella cheese
  6. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl
  7. Place the ingredients onto one half of the dough circle, leaving  the gap around the edge
  8. Brush the edges clean with water
  9. Fold the other side over to cover the filling and pinch together the edges to seal it
  10. If using a pre - made base follow the manufacturers cooking instructions, if you are using one of our pizza dough recipes follow the instructions shown on the page

Meat Feast Calzone

Ingredients

  • 50g mozzarella cheese
  • 50g pepperoni
  • 50g salami
  • 50g prosciutto
  • 50g ground beef
  • ½ green pepper

Recipe

  1. Make the calzone pizza dough and sauce
  2. Spread the sauce over the dough circle leaving a 2cm gap around the edge
  3. Cut the pepper into thin strips
  4. Thinly slice the meats and roughly cut the mozzarella
  5. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl
  6. Place the ingredients onto one half of the dough circle, leaving  the gap around the edge

Spicy Sausage Calzone

  • 100g cherry tomatoes
  • 50g mozzarella cheese
  • 50g pepperoni
  • 50g salami
  • ½ red pepper

Recipe

  1. Make the calzone pizza dough
  2. Halve the tomatoes and cut the pepper into thin strips
  3. Thinly slice the meats and roughly cut the mozzarella
  4. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl

Gordon Ramsay’s Tomato Pizza Sauce

Sauce Ingredients

  • 280g passata
  • 100g halved cherry tomatoes
  • 2 chopped sun blushed tomatoes
  • ½ crushed garlic clove
  • Knob of butter

Recipe

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a small pan over a medium - high heat
  2. Bring to simmer and cook until reduced
  3. Blitz into a smooth paste
  4. Season and taste until happy

Gordon Ramsay’s Pizza Dough

Dough Ingredients

  • 300g strong plain flour
  • 250ml tepid water
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp fast action dried yeast

Recipe

  1. Add yeast to water, stir and leave to stand for a few minutes until frothy
  2. Tip flour into food processor, add oil then turn on processor and add yeast water
  3. Process until the dough is smooth
  4. Transfer to a lightly oiled bowl and cover with cling film
  5. Leave in a warm place until it has doubled in volume
  6. Preheat oven to 220ºC
  7. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a thin circular shape
  8. Place on a baking sheet
  9. Add sauce and toppings
  10. Bake in the oven for 8 - 10 minutes, until the base is golden brown

Anchovy, Tuna and Olives Pizza Topping

Ingredients

  • 8 raw prawns (shrimp)
  • 8 scallops
  • ½ red onion
  • 5 black olives
  • 150g mozzarella cheese

Recipe

  1. Make the pizza dough and pizza sauce then spread the sauce evenly over the pizza base
  2. Peel the prawn and remove the roe from the scallops and arrange on the pizza
  3. Slice the onion and pit and slice the olives in half and add to pizza
  4. Cut the mozzarella into cubes and sprinkle over the pizza

Chili Tuna Pizza Topping

For this pizza topping, we recommend the Traditional Thin Crust Pizza Base and Homemade Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ½ red pepper
  • ¾ courgette
  • 1 sun - dried tomato
  • 2 button mushrooms
  • 70g tuna
  • 2 tbsp chili powder

Recipe

  1. Make the dough and sauce, evenly spreading the sauce over the base when ready
  2. Dice the onion and thinly slice the courgette, tomato, pepper, garlic and mushrooms
  3. Heat a frying pan with a little oil and add the vegetables
  4. Put the chili powder in a bowl, add the tuna and mix well
  5. Add the tuna to the frying pan for 1 - 2 minutes
  6. Remove from frying pan and evenly spread over the pizza base

  • 125g cream cheese
  • 60g sour cream
  • 150g smoked salmon
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Recipe

  1. Make the pizza dough
  2. Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, dill and lemon juice until smooth and spread over the pizza
  3. Thinly slice the tomato
  4. Arrange the smoked salmon and tomato over the pizza base
