Ingredients
- 24 - 30 mussels
- 3 garlic bulbs
- 2 tbsp chopped oregano
Recipe
- Make dough
- Preheat oven to 190ºC (375ºF)
- Place the 3 garlic bulbs in a baking tin and drizzle with olive oil and cook in the oven for 1 hour
- Leave to cool
- Slice in half cross ways between the stem and the base of the bulbs
- Squeeze roasted garlic into a bowl, along with the oil from the baking tin and mash with a fork until it is smooth
- Spread this over the pizza base
- Place the mussels in a large, heavy based pan with a small amount of liquid and put onto a high heat until shells begin to open
- Remove mussels from their shells and arrange over the pizza base
