Recipe

Make the calzone pizza dough and sauce

De-vein the prawns and chop the parsley

In a saucepan combine the prawns, wine and parsley, adding enough water to just cover the prawns

Bring to boil and leave to simmer for 5 minutes, or until the prawns are pink and then remove them from the liquid

Bring liquid to the boil again and continue to cook until it has reduced and then strain it

Slice the mushroom and spring onion

Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the mushrooms and spring onion until the mushrooms are tender

Add the flour and stir until the flour is mixed in

Whisk in the liquid from the prawns used earlier and allow to cook for 1 minute

Grate the cheese and stir into the frying pan, along with the cream, mushrooms and prawns until the cheese has melted

Place the ingredients onto one half of the dough circle, leaving a 2cm gap around the edge

Do not overfill the calzone as it will leak out

Brush the edges clean with water

Fold the other side over to cover the filling and pinch together the edges to seal it

If using a pre - made base follow the manufacturers cooking instructions, if you are using one of our pizza dough recipes follow the instructions shown on the page
